I just finished watching a few of the preview trailers at Gay Porn Source and I’m psyched. The tour is well put together with a few nice pictures from each scene and a trailer that shows the development of the action. I watched two twinks in a sauna suck dick and fuck hard. It was awesome. Then I went inside and it all came crashing down. This is not a great site even though the tour makes it seem like it’s going to be a dick hardening collection of good stuff. It starts with the design, which is ugly as hell. The four most recent scenes are featured on the member’s main page along with teasing pictures from the next four and links to the most popular pages on the site. It’s all ugly and it looks hastily thrown together, like they had a bunch of content and they needed somewhere to put it. You’d think that if they had streaming movies in the free area that they would certainly have them inside, right? You’d be wrong. These movies are downloadable and they don’t look all that great at 512x384. The bit rates are good enough that they’re pretty clear but I can’t help but think that they should have and could have done a better job. This is particularly true since most of the movies have been pulled from DVDs (when the labels read “No Security Deposit Scene 3” it’s pretty obvious you’re dealing with a DVD). There are 640+ movies to download and they throw in roughly 750 picture galleries too. It’s a nice collection of smut and it continues to grow thanks to regular updates. The movies cover a huge range of topics but they don’t categorize them at all. It’s 12 scenes per page over 55 pages and counting. That makes it really frustrating to find the gay porn that turns you on, especially since so many of the scenes have only a few pictures and no descriptions at all. Sometimes you’ll be frustrated at how bad a certain scene looks when you download it – the quality of the video definitely varies. I don’t have any particular problem with Gay Porn Source, it’s just a thoroughly average site. You can get more content for about the same amount of money at a DVD download site and you can get it at a higher resolution. It could be my issue alone but I couldn’t get the streaming DVD section to load. The main bonus content is a collection of streaming movies but they didn’t actually work for me so I can’t tell you anything about them. They have gay stories too but I also found that they wouldn’t work for me.
